~*~ Bubu's debut performance ~*~
The nerve-wrecking first public performance was finally over. The overall performance was well done la... no major mistakes except that I didn't coordinate properly with my partner Zhan Zhi and my arms sort of knock onto his shoulder hard. So sorry! Guess we both nervous la... that's y loh. Wahaha~
Special thanks to my uni buddies, Zhi Qiang and Otto for coming all the way down to Bugis support Li Ling, Lisa and me. Not forgetting a big THANK YOU to my darling la. He rushed down the to performance venue from his work just to see me in action in public for the 1st time and encourage me. So touched by my boyfriend and friends!
Shopping ain't my forte
Went to find place to makan dinner and shop-shop after the song-sign performance. Walked a lot man... super tiring for me la. I got poor stamina for shopping and Li Ling & Lisa enjoying themselves lots trying out the clothes and buying them. I also not bad la, i bought a white long-sleeved top from Samuel & Keith... to prepare for my Hainan Island tour cos the weather is going to be 10+ deg celsius.
Heehee, my darling also cannot tahan the long shopping hours... I cannot talk non-stop for hours but I can't do the same for shopping.
Mona Lisa's Smile
Watched the movie "Mona Lisa's smile" with my sis at home in the morning yesterday. Pretty good movie portraying the challenge against tradition of woman's roles in 1950s. Study so much and get a cert without continuing to pursue further education and only dreaming of getting married soon. Forming a family is important and women are trained to be "good" wives who will be submissive and supportive of their husbands. They wouldn't dare to to dream beyond the stereotype conventional way of thinking, neither do they dare to imagine being leaders of the society by having a profession like a lawyer.
I feel that we got to move on with the society changes and traditional ways of thinking are old school of thoughts which sometimes are obsolette. Shouldn't to follow stereotypes wrongly. Dare to dream and have goals (maybe short-term or long-term). Changes keep taking place all the time and the only thing which remains the same is change itself.
