~*~ Buffet or Cosy corner for ya?? ~*~
Last Sunday and last Monday, I had good food for dinner.
Here are the 2 places I highly recommend...
Yuki & Yaki
A Japanese BBQ Steamboat restaurant.
It's a restaurant under the SUKI group which comprises of Suki Sushi, Sakura, Ramen....
There is a wide variety of fishes to choose from.... my family and Darling enjoyed the bbq saba!!! We enjoyed dory fish too. My darling and mummy loved the chicken joints lots and they ate a lot lot, haha~ We took quite a lot lot. The soup for our steam is fish soup, definitely different from the usual chicken or tom yam soup. Sushis are also available with flavours like the baby octopus, scallops, salmon... Fried salmon fish skins are available too, I have teh craving for fish skins recently ever since the Hainan island trip, they are good for health and skin cos got omega in the skins.
I went to the Marina Square's restaurant however I didn't get to try the self-made ice-cream cos my parents doesn't feel like eating them. One for all, all for one... so we decided not to play with ice-cream. One not so good part of this buffet restaurant is that there is a time-limit for customers. Without ice-cream, we were given only 2 hours and with ice-cream, only an extension of half-an-hour is given.

Essential Brew
Went there for with darling Dennis! The picture of baby potatoes caught my attention and the prices for the food is pretty affordable. Haha, we didn't know that has a second storey and when we were offer the choice to either sit downstairs or upstairs, we chose upstairs. The decoration and style upstairs are pretty much different from the downstairs. Up there, we had to remove our shoes and sit on the floors instead of chairs. There are also comfortable big cushions to give us the extra comfort and homely feeling. Made me feel like I'm in a living room. There is also toilet there and we have to wear the slippers provided to use the toilets... felt so much like I'm at someone's house, haha~
Here is Essential Brew's website, check it out...

Can see the menu in the website and cosy deco of the restaurant. A good place for tea, chat and friends!!!
What darling and I ordered:
Haz o choc (heavenly drinkly lor, cos we order 2 glasses of it)
Baby potatos
Onion Rings (soft rather than crispy)
Seafood galore (not reccomended... still loves that Fish'n'co's Seafood Platter for 2 is the best around!!!)

~*~ S.I.G.N.S.'06 ~*~
The event was held on the 12th Feb. Four months of preparation. Numerous recce at Sentosa. I'm glad that the participants are super contented with our event planned for them and that makes all the farrogians super happy and felt that everything which we have contributed to this event's success is all worth it. What makes everyone happy is that the winning teams was made up of all HIs... then no other teams can say that the game played is unfair.
Freebies!!!
Got a goodie bag after S.I.G.N.S'06 and a yellow top! Haha, I wore the top to work hor. Super proud of it!!!
Bubu is a Chief Station Master for "Images of Singapore"
Blur blur bubu is a station master and somemore, a chief station master?!!?? My friends will certainly shout out "What the...???" Haha~ I think I did a not bad job for both occasions- the dry run and the actual event day. It was boring for the dry run when I was all alone at my station along with the hot sun, struggling thoughts to go toilet or to get refreshments(but cannot just go away cos I don't know when is the next team coming to my station), fights with mosquitoes, waiting along with the snake-men (they wait for customers while I wait for participants to come). For the actual event, things were much simpler for me except for the earlier part when I went thru' the dragon's trail + nature's walk + skybar cafe + images of singapore + butterfly park + cable car station + carlsberg skytower... just to make sure that the clues are still in place. Not forgetting the "STOP" sign Lisa and I got to go and place to prevent the participants from taking the wrong route and leading the dangerous spot where the dashing luge is. Haha... But I totally forgot about the STOP sign and left it there until sudden realisation when I got to the holding area... so in the dark dark jungle trail approaching night... CW and I headed back to get the STOP sign. Quite a scary walk loh, cos very dark and I really don't what am I stepping on.
Participants
I must say that the participants are super ONz people and they are super enthusiastic about our amazing race. Great team work shown at my station and I enjoy seeing them playing the game. Finding the answers by covering so many places.. haha~ I'm not the one who set the questions ah! The word game gives participants the opportunity to know more about the nature (plants..) and the made-up history of the Statues and cravings.. haha~*
