~*~ ~*~
Count me lucky or unlucky Last week, I went to my favourite outlet in JP which was KFC to dine with my boyfriend in the evening. As usual, we left our bags to chop seats at a table and went walk. My boyfriend queued to buy food while I went to the bank to deposit money. When we returned to our table with the food, a lady sitting at the next table suddenly spoke. At first in my mind I thought she wanted to get my KFC coupons. My guess was wrong. She advised me in Mandarin, "Next time don't just leave your bags lying around like this. Your bag almost got stolen by a stranger man." I was like, "Huhhh, what happened." I was shocked because I did not that people would want to steal my bag as it had not happened before. She gave more details on what had happened. A middle-aged man wearing a blue top had been walking in front of the tables and went up to ask her when my bag belong to the lady's friend (I guess it's because out tables were pretty close to each other). Then the lady anwered no and the strange man just said that it belonged to his friend. He carried my bag and then wanted to leave the spot. The lady felt that something wasn't right, and shouted to him that he cannot just take the bag like this. She stopped the man from taking away my bag! The man was scared bah and he just left.
Gosh, if the lady didn't stop the man, my bag would be gone le. I was so lucky to have a such a lady sitting next to my table. She got a good sense of justice!! Usually other people will just bochap bah. The morale of the story is: Don't leave your belongings unattended. Although my bag does not contain my handphone or wallet, I will still be very sad if it is stolen cos the bag was a present given to me by my uni friends and my pencil case also was given to me by my sec 4 friends.
