~*~ A Fun-filled day at Pitstop Cafe ~*~
Yesterday, I went to Pitstop cafe with my RSPHI friends after our volunteer work at SADeaf. My chinese course 1 class ended earlier than usual, YEAH, sometimes too draggy and I tend to go to the sleepy mode. As usual, my sign language cannot make it, I would beg Edwin (my new hansamu gakusei) to write down what he want to say on paper instead of signing to me (My receptive skills really cmi). There was birthday celebration with cake + candles for our dearest RSPHI coordinator Patricia and Kallang Centrehead Vanessa (I hope I got their names right) at SADeaf before we headed to the cafe.
First time @ a boardgame-cum-cardgame cafe Feeling: Excited (first time mah) and scared (of high prices and boring games played) I tried the chicken chop with black pepper sauce and iced lemonade. I took up the Pitstop package along with my friends which comprises of 1 main course, 1 soup of the day, 1 drink and 2 hours of gaming. Food: Not bad la. Not fantastic, not awful Soup: Yummy!!! Much better than the NTU's Canteen A's western food stall. Drink: I like it cos it's sour... heehee. However, it took quite a long time to be delivered to my table. Guess they really squeeze lemon juice to it bah. Games: Played 3 games (but i cannot remember all the names esp the first one). The first game was to have a secret animal in ur "house" and make other players remember your animal calls. When turning over the cards and yours happen to be the same as another player's, u need to imitate the other player's animal calls. A simple game to understand but hard to imitate certain player's animal calls esp LiLing's "burrp-burrp burrp-burrp". Mine was easy, just a "meow". Second game was called category 5. Oh ya, I am the biggest loser la cos I accumulated the high penalty points just after 3 rounds into the game. The game was pretty hard to explain, if you are interested u can try it out at the cafe. Game three was called swap. Pretty similar to UNO but more interaction with players. We get to pile our hands onto one another's when the "slap" card is out. I am so sorry that my fingernails have hurt many people. The "swap" card acts like a wild card and also allows u to sway your deck of cards with one player. Haha, so most of the time, the cards which you got do not eventually be really yours in the end.
